US Pro Cycling Challenge Prologue

24 Aug

Eventual second-place finisher Christian Vande Velde (USA).

On last Monday, August 22nd, I drove down to Colorado Springs to watch the prologue of the Pro Cycling Challenge.  The course started at the Garden of the Gods, and provided a nice downhill cruise for the five mile time trial.  While I did not catch too much of action because of my spot near the finish, I did get to see all the major riders come through.  A nice start to the week!

Tom Danielson of Boulder-based Garmin-Cervelo.

George Hincapie (US) after his ride.

Robert Gesink (NED) of Dutch team Rabbobank finishes

Hey Devin, Levi is going to be your #1 blog fan. At dinner, he was daydreaming about you bequeathing him your new BMC cycle in “lots and lots of years when I’m old enough and when he gets another new bike”.

Well, I plan on having it for awhile, so you never know! Good to know I’ll have a few loyal readers out there!

Devin’s never ever ever getting a new bike!!! 🙂 But Levi’s comment made me really really happy. He is awesome.
