creative folks!  The Stage 6 route from Golden to Denver had an estimated 250,000 people watching, according to the race committee.  That’s a lot of people!  From our vantage point 100 meters in front of the finish, I had to lean over the fence to see anything, and all I could hear were cowbells and pounding on the boards as riders zoomed by at 30+ miles per hour.  Possibly the coolest sporting event I have attended in person!

    Is there a way to lobby for this race to come back to CO next year???!

      Very good news – the race will happen in Colorado again next year! After that, things are up in the air. I think the Quiznos folks have the option to extend for a third year, and after that the race would need refunding.
